To borrow a quote from American physician Francis Peabody from 1927: “The secret of the care of the patient is in caring for the patient.” This is the philosophy I try to bring to patient care. Caring is what makes it easy to answer calls in the middle of the night, drives physicians to make sure their knowledge and skills are the best they can be and brings meaning to what I do every day.
